Expressing My Feelings: Happy, Sad, Calm, and Caring Friends! 😊😢😡🎨
Hello wonderful friends! Every single day, each one of us feels different emotions inside, and all of these feelings are completely normal and important! Sometimes we feel super happy and want to jump and laugh. Other times we might feel sad when our toy breaks, or angry when things don't go our way, or scared when we hear sudden loud thunder. The key is not to hide our emotions, but to express them gently and calmly! We can talk with mom and dad, take three slow deep breaths, draw our feelings with colorful crayons, or ask for a warm soothing hug! And when we see a friend feeling down, we can offer a kind smile and a gentle word. Let's learn the language of feelings and be caring friends!
Bright Smiles
We feel happy when playing with friends and accomplishing goals. A warm smile lights up our face and spreads joy to everyone!
Ask for a Hug
When we feel sad, we don't have to hide our tears. We can talk gently to mom or dad and ask for a warm, comforting hug.
Deep Breath & Count to 5
When feeling frustrated, we don't yell or throw things. We take slow deep breaths and count: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 until we feel calm.
Art & Caring Friends
We express our feelings through drawing and play dough. When a friend is crying, we offer a soft tissue and share our toys!
