Welcome, curious thinkers! Have you ever wondered: How do we see all the vibrant colors around us? We see them thanks to light and our wonderful eyes! The Sun is our planet's greatest natural source of light and warmth. And when our bodies or a tree block the sunlight, something magical follows us everywhere: a shadow! Let us discover how light travels and how shadows are created!

☀️ The Sun & Light Sources

• The Sun: The primary natural light and heat source for planet Earth.
• Artificial Sources: Lightbulbs 💡, candles 🕯️, and flashlights 🔦.
• Seeing: Light travels to objects, bounces off them into our eyes, and allows us to see colors and shapes. In total darkness, we cannot see!

👥 How Shadows Form

• Making Shadows: Light travels in straight lines. When an opaque object (like our body or a wooden board) blocks the light, a dark shape called a shadow forms behind it.
• In the morning and late afternoon, shadows are long. At midday, when the Sun is directly overhead, shadows are short!
