Introducing People & Writing a Family Postcard! 💌🏡
Welcome to our creative communication studio! In this lesson, we put our language skills into practice by learning how to introduce our friends and family politely, and how to write a charming family postcard. When introducing someone, we look at our friend, smile warmly, and say: «This is my grandfather, Mr. Sami». Our friend replies politely: «Nice to meet you, Mr. Sami! ». We also learn the art of postcard writing: we write the date at the top, begin with a warm greeting like «Dear Grandma», write three clear sentences about our family photo, and close with «With love, » followed by our name. Writing in English connects our hearts!
🗣️ Polite Family Introductions
Hany: «Hello, Youssef! This is my cousin, Kareem.»
Youssef: «Hello, Kareem! Nice to meet you.»
Kareem: «Nice to meet you too, Youssef!»
- Look at the person and smile warmly.
- Always say «Nice to meet you» when meeting someone for the first time.
- Reply courteously: «Nice to meet you too».
💌 Anatomy of a Family Postcard
Dear Grandma,
