Grammar Master: Comparing Athletic Performance & Speed! 🏃♂️🏆
Welcome back to grammar mastery! In the exciting realm of sports competitions, we constantly compare speeds, distances, and heights. To do this accurately in English, we use Comparative and Superlative Adjectives! When we compare two athletes or objects, we use the comparative form by adding «-er than» to short adjectives: «Omar is faster than Tarek», «Ramy jumps higher than Youssef». When we compare one athlete against an entire group of three or more, we use the superlative form by adding «the ... -est»: «Omar is the fastest runner in the club», «Nour is the tallest high jumper in the team». We also learn spelling changes when words end in 'y' like easy -> easier -> easiest, and irregular forms like good -> better -> best. Let's master comparative grammar!
⚖️ 1. Comparative Form (مقارنة بين اثنين)
Rule: Short Adjective + -er + than
👑 2. Superlative Form (التفضيل المطلق)
Rule: The + Short Adjective + -est
⭐ Irregular Adjectives & Spelling Adjustments
