Counting to Twenty and Comparing Sets with Confidence! 🔢🏆
Welcome back! Today, our journey reaches the magnificent number 20! We will explore: 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20. Twenty means having two full groups of ten! We will also learn how to compare sets using greater than (> ), less than (< ), and equal to (=) so we can always tell which group has more or fewer items.
🚀 Numbers 16 through 20
- 🟣 16 (Sixteen): 10 + 6
- 🟣 17 (Seventeen): 10 + 7
- 🟣 18 (Eighteen): 10 + 8
- 🟣 19 (Nineteen): 10 + 9
- 🟣 20 (Twenty): 10 + 10 (Two whole tens!)
⚖️ Comparing Numbers and Sets
• Greater than (>): 18 is greater than 12 because 18 comes later on the number line.
• Less than (<): 16 is less than 20 because it has fewer items.
• Equal to (=): Both sets have the exact same number (like 20 = 20).
